Johnny Case, piano
Pianist Johnny Case was born into a musical family on August 24, 1947 in Fort Worth, Texas. His exposure to jazz recordings in his early teens inspired Johnny to become a professional musician. He eventually achieved his goal of playing jazz years after his entry into the music profession via country dance bands when he was 15 years old.

Since 1980 Johnny Case has remained a fixture on the Fort Worth jazz scene. His self-produced albums date back to 1969. It was while playing jazz six nights a week at J.R.’s Place that Johnny met Kitty Keever, the love of his life whom he married in 1981. He began playing 6 nights a week at Sardines Ristorante Italiano in 1983 and continued until it closed near the end of 2011.

Johnny Case has received numerous awards for modern jazz and also western swing. He attributes such accolades to the longevity of his commitment to playing only the music he truly loves.

Keith Wingate, drums

A Fort Worth native, Keith Wingate began playing guitar when he was 13 years old. He started with the pop music of the 60-70’s but grew to love jazz, which has become his primary focus for the last 30 years.  Six years ago, Keith took up drums.  Being self-taught, his skill at drums has surprised and delighted his peers who first knew him as a guitar player and as a bass player.  For the last 12 years Keith has been working regularly with the Johnny Case Trio at Lili’s Bistro, Pinky’s Champagne Room, Stage West and other venues.

Keith has been married to his best friend Stephanie for 19 years.  She is very supportive of his musical endeavors.  They have three children whom they are very proud of.
